The show will go on...

We hope you are keeping well in these strange times?

As we’re sure you’re already aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has meant that it has been vital to limit social contact and avoid gathering for some time, the events industry has been one of the hardest hit from the outset.

We are so glad that we made the difficult decision to postpone the Gala Dinner Ceremony back in March and whilst we knew it would be disappointing to all, we just had to keep everyone safe.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel and we have rescheduled our red carpet ceremony to 3rd July 2021 and will be recognising our 2020 winners and finalists, voted for by the general public. We will be celebrating excellence from across the region in a wide range of categories that cover inspiration, fundraising, sport and business, together with sharing some outstanding achievements, the winners will be announced alongside performances by well-known local artists that continue to support the event.

Nominations and voting for the 2020 Yorkshire Choice Awards is of course closed and we will not be announcing any shortlists or winners until the Awards Gala Dinner in July 2021

What happens next?

Can't make the rescheduled date of 3rd July 2021? That's OK, we understand.

We'll be processing refunds for anyone who bought a ticket and cannot now make the new date.

Please note that refunds can only be paid back via the original payment method, transaction fees paid at the time of purchase will be deducted (this figure varies depending on the amount of tickets you purchased, we will advise you on receipt of a refund request of the amount).

This does mean that if your ticket was bought as part of a table, then you will need to speak to the person who ordered the tickets.

You will need to provide the following to show proof of purchase before any refund can be made;

  1. Order Number/invoice number (this will have been emailed to you at the time of purchase) or the last 4 digits of the card you used to purchase the tickets

  2. Your full name and address

  3. Indicate how many tickets you bought.

You can also donate your ticket price to our chosen charity, Simon on the Streets, who have struggled through the pandemic trying to support as many of the homeless as possible despite the risk. If you would like to do this, please contact our team on events@yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk and they will be in touch to discuss.

It's important to note that we cannot guarantee that additional tickets will be available for the Ceremony next year and claiming your refund now may mean that you may miss out on the big occasion when it is safe for it to go ahead.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us on events@yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk
