Leeds event transport company appreciates its first nomination within the customer service category for the prestigious public-vote based awards, The Yorkshire Choice awards.
Stagefreight has been in business for over thirty years, providing transport services for music, theatre and business brands like Opera North, Northern Ballet and the Joan Baez Fare Thee Well tour. Their nomination in the Yorkshire Choice Awards shows the positive impact Stagefreight has had on their local clients and community.
The Yorkshire Choice Awards was founded to recognise inspirational businesses and individuals in the county. Since 2016, members of the public have cast their votes to determine Yorkshire’s most deserving businesspeople. The Stagefreight team hopes voters will recognise their multi-pronged commitment to customer service.
A key part of Stagefreight’s customer approach is that its drivers are trained to become an extension of the production team. Drivers quickly establish a natural professional connection with their customers, and take a proactive role in the unloading and construction of stage and event sets. Their attitude reflects Leeds’ wider business ethos of transparency and friendly Yorkshire charm.
“We’re very proud to be nominated for such an impressive award”, Stagefreight’s director Ian Uttley said. “The Yorkshire Choice Awards have always recognised the best our county has to offer, and we hope we’ve got what it takes to earn the public’s votes.
“Stagefreight is involved with all manner of unusual jobs, far beyond run-of-the-mill music equipment tasks you might expect. We’ve met people from all walks of life on our travels, and we like to think we’ve garnered plenty of goodwill along the way as well.”
