Could you be a Yorkshire Hero

As things are about to heat up around The Yorkshire Choice 2020 Awards, we are seeking Yorkshire Heroes.

We've just launched that our nomination process is 'open' and we are proud to announce that our next Charity Partner will be Simon on the Streets (see more below).

We’ve also got a fresh new look on the website, with more coverage for our sponsors.

A message from our Headline Sponsor

We are delighted to confirm that Yorkshire Payments are our headline sponsor for the second year in a row. “Having been a close follower and supporter of YCA for several years, it’s inspiring to see the exposure and support it brings to businesses across Yorkshire. When the opportunity came up to be headline sponsor, we signed up straight away!”James Howard

Our Background

The Yorkshire Choice Awards were founded by Jo Maltby and Melanie Malcolm who saw an opportunity to recognise and raise awareness of local people and independent businesses that are inspirational in their own way or in the markets they serve. The Awards demonstrate that through adversity and courage, light can shine through in so many different ways and give the inspirational nominees, finalists, and winners, the exposure and applause they deserve. In the last four years, we have grown considerably, celebrating the best from Yorkshire and raising money for Charity along the way. We are proud to have supported Martin House Children’s Hospice. The Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund, St Gemma’s Hospice and Bethany’s Smile to date.

Partner Charity for 2020

Our 2020 Awards will be supporting Simon on the Streets. a fantastic charity offering street-based support for those in need. Their teamwork across Leeds, Bradford, and Huddersfield providing front-line emotional and practical support for those who need it. They work hard to keep people up to date with their work and to help share an understanding of the issues that are at the root of homelessness.
