LeedsLive reporter Kristian Johnson has been nominated for Media Personality of the Year in the Yorkshire Choice Awards.
Strictly Come Dancing has ended for another year, X Factor has been and gone, but now the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2019 have arrived and LeedsLive needs your votes!
Nominations have just been announced ahead of the event held to celebrate achievement across the region. And among them is our very own live news reporter Kristian Johnson.
The 26-year-old is in the running for the Yorkshire Media Personality of the Year award, and as a regular in front of the camera covering some of the biggest stories in Leeds, it is well deserved and a credit to him for the year he's had.
LeedsLive was launched just a year ago, with the aim to shake up local news in the city and make sure readers are in the know as soon as possible.
You might have seen Kristian a fair few times at the scene of breaking news, broadcasting live on Facebook and bringing stories to life.
Whether it's the thousands marching through the city centre protesting against Brexit, or a first look at the Leeds Christmas Market ahead of the festive period, Kristian grips readers from start to finish. He's even taken (and failed!) a driving test on camera to entertain readers!
"The nomination came as a real bolt from the blue and I'm so chuffed to have even made it to this stage", he said.
"Every single day we focus on telling stories in an informative and entertaining manner here at LeedsLive - be that breaking news stories, big events or the opening of a new bar. It's great that our work is being acknowledged by the public!
"It means so much to me that I've been nominated alongside so many other fantastic people from across Yorkshire.
"To go that extra mile and actually win with the help of our readers would be incredible!"
Voting closes on March 1 2019, so until then Kristian needs your support! Visit the Yorkshire Choice Awards website to cast yours and thank you for your support!
