Dawn-Maria France is the Editor-in-chief of a wildly successful women’s magazine, Yorkshire Women’s Life. She is an award-winning and accomplished journalists. Dawn-Maria is a travel writer, children’s author and broadcaster, who is passionate about women’s rights, equality and diversity.
The Yorkshire Choice Awards seeks to recognise local people and independent businesses that are an inspiration in their field. The categories cover a wide range of industries and aim to celebrate the achievements of successful businesses in Yorkshire.
This year the Yorkshire Choice Awards is supporting, St Gemma’s Hospice. St Gemma’s Hospice is a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with life-threatening illnesses. The charity offers care to patients and their carers in the Hospice’s 32 bed In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team and via the day services, which includes a Day Hospice and Out-Patient Department. The care is always provided free-of-charge and is open to patients of all beliefs, religions and cultures.
St Gemma’s is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the UK.
Commenting on the nomination, Yorkshire Women’s Life Magazine Editor Dawn-Maria France said: “I am absolutely delighted to receive this nomination, its so wonderful to know that my work as a journalists and broadcaster has been recognised by getting this nomination. I feel really proud”
The 2018 Yorkshire Choice Awards takes place on the 13th April 2018, at The Centenary Pavilions, Leeds.
